College students often find themselves ambushed by due dates and unread emails. Digital organization is critical to success. Our Gear Up workshops teach students how to transform their laptop into a productive workspace. Gear Ups, held at the beginning of each semester, show students how to set up course folders, transfer due dates to their Outlook calendars, bookmark campus sites, organize their university email, and navigate Brightspace (the UA learning management system).

Learning differences that may benefit from digital organization:
- ADHD
- Processing Challenges
- Memory Deficits
- Dyslexia
Recommendations:
- Pulse for Brightspace (must be enrolled at the U of A first)
- MyHomework
- Integrated solutions involving Google Apps: Catmail (UA Gmail account), G-Cal, Tasks, Keep, & Taskboards (Chrome extension)
Just starting at the U of A? Trying to decide on a laptop? Wondering what the best set up is for productivity?
