Student Support Specialist

Role at the SALT Center: As a Student Support Specialist, I work with students to help create their Individualized Learning Plan (ILP) by collaboratively developing goals for success, incorporating academic strategies, and providing students with guidance and encouragement throughout their university experience.

Education: B.S. in Management Communication, M.A. in Speech Communication, Graduate Certificate in College Teaching from North Dakota State University; Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Arizona.

Hometown: Thief River Falls, Minnesota

Activities/Interests: My hobbies include baking, crafting, calligraphy and hand lettering, reading, and gaming. I do research on relationships, media, and social support, with a particular interest in stigmatized groups. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends.
