Role at the SALT Center: As a Strategic Learning Specialist, I work with students to help create their Individualized Learning Plan (ILP) by collaboratively developing goals for success, incorporating academic strategies, and providing students with guidance and encouragement throughout their university experience.
Education: Grand Valley State University, B.S., Psychology; Michigan State University, M.A. & Ed.S., School Psychology
Hometown: Otsego, Michigan
Activities/Interests: My friends call me an "old soul." After spending four years in TrackTown USA (Eugene, Oregon), I became an enthusiastic follower of professional and college track and field. I am also an avid runner and compete in races ranging from 5k to ultramarathon to satisfy my competitive itch. When I'm not running, I enjoy playing board games, hiking, starting (and occasionally finishing) craft projects, and searching for the best pizza in town. My partner, James, keeps me balanced and always knows how to make me laugh.
