Role at the SALT Center: As the Educational Technology Coordinator, I oversee support services that offer students assistance with navigating courseware and discovering apps and software for notetaking, mind mapping, reading, brainstorming, organizing, and studying. As a member of our Leadership Team, I play a key role in recommending technology, which facilitates collaboration, plays to multiple intelligences, integrates multi-sensory approaches, and keeps pace with a rapidly changing world. I also serve as the coordinator for SALT Online, a new service designed to offer students supplemental access to a Strategic Learning Specialist and to tutoring via an online conferencing tool.

Activities/Interests: I grew up here amongst the Saguaros where I revel in the scent of creosote after a thunderstorm. I have five young adult sons who share my love for superhero movies and challenge my mind with discussions about physics and chemistry. I enjoy playing ball or frisbee with my pound rescues: Dudley, Shadow, and Zephyr. On the side, I work on writing projects, including screenplays and children’s stories that gradually grow line by line. When I’m not writing or hunting for the latest educational apps, I love to listen to music. I am rather eclectic, but my favorite genre is rock and roll, whether it’s a childhood favorite like the Eagles or a new love like One Republic.
